The Summer Blush Edit
A summer blush guide for every mood, occasion, and level of sleep deprivation.
There’s something about summer that makes us reach for blush before anything else.
Not bronzer. Not contour. Not highlighter.
Just a little color on the cheeks that makes you look like you’ve been outside, slept eight hours, and have absolutely nothing stressing you out.
These are the formulas currently living in our makeup bags- each with a different mood, finish, and purpose, but all earning their spot in our rotation.
⸻
The effortless one.
A soft rosy mauve that somehow manages to look polished and undone at the same time. The creamy formula melts into the skin and gives cheeks that fresh, healthy flush that never feels overly made up.
We love it because it’s nearly impossible to overdo and doubles beautifully as an eyeshadow when we’re trying to get out the door in under five minutes.
The vibe: The woman who always looks put together but swears she isn’t wearing much makeup.
⸻
Westman Atelier Lit Up Stick in Petal
Petal in highlighter sheer form is the kind of shade that instantly makes you look fresher, healthier, and more awake. A sheer rosy pink luminizer they melts into your skin that melts seamlessly into the skin and wears beautifully throughout the day.
It’s one of those blushes we reach for when we want to look effortlessly put together without looking overly done.
The vibe: Expensive skin, great lighting, and a full night’s sleep.
⸻
Milk Makeup Lip + Cheek in Burst
The summer flush.
Don’t let the bright color fool you. Burst blends into the skin beautifully, creating the prettiest sunburned look- without any of the UV damage.
It’s fresh, youthful, and instantly wakes up the complexion. We love applying it slightly higher on the cheeks and across the bridge of the nose for that naturally sun-kissed effect.
The vibe: Just got back from a beach walk.
⸻
Chanel Les Beiges Water-Fresh Blush
For people who think they don’t like blush.
Weightless, sheer, and impossibly elegant, this is the blush we reach for when we want skin to look like skin. The finish is luminous enough that we often skip highlighter altogether.
It’s also one of our favorite formulas to layer with other blushes when we want a little more dimension.
The vibe: The kind of product that makes people think you’re having a really good skin day.
⸻
Chanel Baume Essentiel in Golden Light
Not technically a blush, but we couldn’t leave it out.
Golden Light gives skin that warm, glossy radiance that makes everything look healthier and more alive. We tap it onto the tops of the cheekbones, lids, and even the cupid’s bow for that effortless summer glow.
On days when we’re wearing this, we rarely feel the need for a traditional highlighter.
The vibe: Golden hour bottled up in a stick.
⸻
Jones Road Miracle Balm in Flush
The complexion reviver.
Whenever our skin is looking flat, tired, or dull, this is the product we reach for. It doesn’t look like traditional blush—it looks like circulation.
The finish is dewy, skin-like, and incredibly forgiving, making it perfect for no-makeup makeup days.
A little goes a long way.
The vibe: You just came back from a walk and drank all your water.
